Build quality is evident, as always with Hans Christian, and she is arranged for long, safe passages in mind; a well protected cockpit, large tanks, comfortable sea-berths, a real galley, heavy displacement and hand-holds everywhere you look. Two Stateroom, 2 head layout. Escapade is has been well cared for and is ready to go. Truly a special yacht, call know.
Accommodations
The entire interior is finished in varnished teak with a teak and holly cabin sole. In the Main Salon alone there are 6 opening ports and a large Butterfly Hatch above. Interior upholstery is an off white colored making the space warm and comfortable. The attention to detail is impressive with raised panel doors and cabinetry along with quality bronze hardware. The overhead panels are wood wainscoting which add a great nautical flavor to the rich interior.
Starting forward, the large comfortable Forward Stateroom sleeps two in a large double berth and has ample storage in four drawers, two cubbies, a hanging clocker, and two shelves. The stateroom features 110 outlets, reading lamps and two opening ports for ventilation.
Aft of the forward stateroom and to the port side is the lead Head with a separate shower stall. Features include a sink vanity with granite counter tops, bench in tiled shower stall, mirror, and 110 outlets.
Further aft is the large Main Salon with U-shaped dinette to port and strait settee to starboard. Outboard to port is two cabinets forward and aft with a bookshelf in between. The seat backs on the settees also provide additional storage as well as underneath storage compartments. There is a bronze ship's lamp above the dinette which provides functional lighting and nautical atmosphere
The chefs Galley is to aft and to port. The counter space is expansive and the layout is conducive to meal preparation at sea. There are large twin stainless steel sinks flush mounted close to the centerline. The galley is equipped with two separate insulated refrigerators/freezers. Both are top loading but the smaller refrigerator has a front access door as well. A force 10 gimbaled stove/oven and microwave are neatly mounted. Cabinet, drawer and other dry storage areas are plentiful.
Across the galley is the Navigation Station. The chart table, forward facing is large enough to provide a place to sit or stand. There is a comfortable upholstered chair. This work area is fantastic for multi tasking. A Raymarine Radar display is mounted in plain view along with other navigation and entertainment gear.
Furthest aft and to port is the Aft Port Stateroom which is considered by many to be the master stateroom. This stateroom has a large queen berth with shelving and hanging locker storage. Four windows scattered throughout the cabin provide great lighting. An overhead light, reading lamp and fan are also available.
Across to starboard is the Aft Head Features include a sink, vanity with granite counter tops, brass fixtures, mirror, and 110 outlets.
