Accommodations & Layout
The American Tug 41 offers a very spacious layout for her size, offering two separate staterooms with en suite heads, a bright pilothouse with good visibility for safe navigation, and a comfortable salon with U-shaped galley.
Starting below in in the bow puts you in the guest stateroom with a pullman berth to port. Washer & separate dryer are stacked in a locker here, and the en suite guest head with separate shower stall are to starboard. Ample storage can be found throughout with a variety of lockers, drawers, and an area for storing larger items under the cabin sole. Moving aft of the guest stateroom brings you to a set of steps which leads down to the athwartships master stateroom. A cedar-lined closet and plenty of drawer storage complement the island berth. Master head is to starboard, and features a separate stall shower.
Stepping up a few steps from the master stateroom brings you to a landing which houses the central vacuum system, as well as various lockers for added storage. Stepping up several more steps brings you to the pilothouse. Copious amounts of room are found here, and her vast electronics suite is nicely set up for functional navigation, as well as redundancy. There are exterior doors both port and starboard, several opening windows, as well as a comfortable seat with small table to port. Fully-adjustable Stidd helm seat offers the captain a secure perch for your seagoing adventures. Main electrical panel and a mixed variety of different storage options are found throughout here too.
Moving further aft brings you down a few more steps into the salon and galley. Creative use of the faux smoke stack is used to give you functional headroom while moving aft, as well as providing a creative focal point to her interior. Once down in the salon, you will notice the beautiful cherry wood floors which were added by the current owner. Large L-shaped settee can be found to starboard with the movable salon table. Galley can be found on the port side, and offers a refrigerator, freezer, toaster oven, electric cooktop & separate oven, and a double sink. Blinds throughout offer privacy/shade as needed.
Continuing aft through the main salon door brings you out into the large aft cockpit. There is storage in the center of the transom, and generator access/storage under the cockpit sole, The ladder on the starboard side brings you to the upper deck which carries the dinghy and crane.
For their size, the American Tug 41 offers a very stout craft with a tremendous amount of room aboard for long distance cruising. Please let me know if you have any specific questions. I look forward to hearing from you!
