Visit any fishing port in northern Europe and you will find a multitude of working craft, all strong and seaworthy, and though few could be described as “yachty”, it seems that many yachtsmen find them extremely attractive. So much so, that one of the most popular and successful motor-sailors in the UK, is called, A “Fisher”, and has lines to match. Built by North Shore Yacht Yards. From the beginning, the Fisher range of motor sailors has been in production since the early 70s and the appeal then, as now, has been the strong resemblance to the fishing boats from which the boats derived their name. Designed by Wyatt and Freeman, the uncompromising lines give clear testimony to fisher’s ancestry; the working boats to be found in ports along both sides of the North Sea going to sea in all weathers’ requires a well found hull and good stability, with an easy motion. Fishing boats in particular need working space on deck and volume below for the catch. Through the transition from working boat to pleasure craft, the Fisher has retained these qualities.
"Kairos" is now being offered by its most caring owners and exclusively offered through West Yachts of Anacortes Washington.
