Stepping down the companionway into Antares main salon you have a large stand-up nav station with abundant storage to starboard. to port is the u-shape galley with a double sink, LPG Force 10 stove/oven, large 12v refrigerated ice box, with storage to spare.

Forward of the nav is a wet locker and beyond it the piolt berth has been removed opening up the settee for comfort and book storage above and a hanging locker forward and outboard, great use of space! On port is a three leaf folding table with seating for 6.Along port is another settee with shelving high and storage below and behind. You have a Force 10 LPG cabin heater. The standard problematic compression has been replaced and reinforced, 4x4 ash and bolstered with SS tie weldments and SS plate in the top of the keel. A Skylight hatch over the table provides plenty of light and air to the whole salon.

The area opposite the head has been converted to a seated desk area with ample shelves for book and gear. The vee berth sleeps 2 to port and 1 to starboard.

One of the best features of the boat is the easy access to a wide open engine room, from the cockpit sole/hatch and the behind the steps door. the highlight is the 2010 Beta Marine 1505 37.5 3 cylinder diesel, the heart of which is a  robust Kabota tractor diesel. once you identify the Kabota model number you now can get parts at about half off.

From the sailing prospective the Kiss principal is key, Antares is all about simple, hank-on sails, club footed staysail, Aries wind vane as well as Autohelm tiller pilot. Wide uncluttered decks, dual anchors on a the sprit. Deep cockpit coamings protected the a hard top dodger with a sun fly aft.
