VESSEL DESCRIPTION The vessel is a crew boat outfitted for scuba diving and holds the United States Coast Guard Certificate of Inspection issue d April 2017 valid to April 2019 for 20 passengers and 4 crewmembers to operate within 20 miles of a safe refuge. The two owner/Operators are both USCG license Masters for vessels of not more than 100 gross tons or more than 200 miles offshore. The vessel has a radio license with the call sign WBD8193.   The diving capabilities include an onboard compressor capable of filling high-pressure tanks to 4000 psi with nine 300-cf H.P. cascade flask. A Nitrox membrane System for producing a breathing mixture with six Nitrox flasks for 1600 cf. Twenty-Six high-pressure scuba bottles and gear secured in their own dive harnesses. Easy water entry from the side gates and a large submerged platform across the stern to reboard the vessel.  

EXTERIOR HULL EXAMINATION (In a good state of Repair) (Haul out at Driscoll’s Mission Bay Boatyard, Quivira Way, San Diego, California. 92109. February 7-13, 2017)   The keel, stem, stern frame, rudders, propellers, and outside of side and bottom were cleaned. The exposed parts of the stern bearing, seal assembly, and sea chests were examined and considered in satisfactory condition together with trim boards and stern platform and their respective securing arrangements. The underwater hull in close proximity to dissimilar metals was examined both as far as practicable and considered satisfactory. All non-metallic expansion pieces in the sea-water cooling systems were examined externally and considered satisfactory. There are two sets of cooling tubes, Port and Stbd., for the main engines on the underwater hull have been replaced for the Grid CoolersThese run forward and aft. After four years, the cooling tubes are in good structural repair and are functionally in good condition. . All openings to the sea, sanitary hull penetration was showing signs of deterioration and repaired. All other overboard discharges, together with the valves connected therewith, were examined externally together with their fastenings to the shell and considered satisfactory. Insulating material in joints of shell connections between dissimilar metals to the hull w as examined as practicable without removals and considered satisfactory.   Propeller leading and trailing edges were examined for surface roughness and were found to be in good condition.
