Accommodations

Salon: The salon aboard the Grand Banks 32 is a full 11'4" x 10' 8" and includes comfortable seating for the whole family plus your guests. There are two full length settees, one built in an "L" shape with an attractive varnished table with a Dometic refrigerator / freezer atop. The joiner work and paneling are varnished golden teak, as is the inlaid parquet sole. The large windows are ideally located to provide beautiful views to the distant blue horizon, whether you are standing or seated. Forward, to starboard is at the all-weather steering station with its full instrumentation and controls, with a handcrafted six spoke wheel and a built-in upholstered helmsman's seat.

Galley: The galley is located in the deck house forward, within conversational distance of the helm. The cabinetry is teak, with exceptional stowage and counter space, and is equipped with a stainless steel refrigerated cold box with freezer section, a Force 10 propane stove & oven. The stainless steel sink with a hot and cold pressure water spigot.

Stateroom: You'll enjoy the privacy in the teak trimmed forward stateroom, with its adult sized twin berths and generous hanging locker and stowage space. Adjacent to the stateroom, but serving the entire ship, is the roomy head. It is fully equipped to cater to the needs of your cruising party, including a shower large counter space with stainless steel lavatory and plenty of stowage lockers.

Ford Lehman 2715E 6D380

Lehman pioneered the marinization of engines as far back as 1932. By 1979 the Lehman Econ-O-Power trademark was recognized and respected by boat builders and owners throughout the world. For over 50 years, Lehman had been an organization of dedicated boatmen with a keen appreciation of the proper specification and operation of marine power. The compact design of Lehman Econ-O-Power diesels with special monobloc cast iron exhaust manifolds has shell type tubular heat exchangers and coolers for streamlined appearance and long lasting operation. The Lehman Econ-O-Power engine is built using a Ford engine as the "base" unit. Lehman manufactured and provided the "conversion" equipment... those parts that are needed to adapt the Ford engine to marine use. One of Lehmans' most popular diesels, this 380 cubic inch engine is conservatively rated at 120 horsepower at 2500 rpm. This model engine has a long history of thoroughbred performance, beginning in 1958 as the Ford Dagenham diesel. Also contributing to the popularity of this engine are the same high performance, high economy features which characterize all Lehman Power diesel marine engines. 

The four cycle design, high compression ratio and overhead valves assure clean burning, odor free combustion. The resulting maximization of fuel economy and dependable performance have established this engine as a "pacesetter" among commercial operators, and a favorite of boaters. 
Underlying its rugged performance is its rugged construction...a deep, rigid block. The crankshaft is equipped with large diameter crankpins and main bearings. Four hole injectors are fed by an efficient Simms piston-type fuel injection pump which is driven directly by camshaft gearing. This eliminates the exposed auxiliary drive shaft and couplings that were used in earlier models. Lehman diesel marine engines turn counter-clockwise (viewed from the stern of the boat facing forward). Borg-Warner transmissions offer positive acting, smooth dependable performance under varied loads.

Additional Details

Besides giving performance to suit the most demanding yachtsman, the Grand Banks 32 is luxurious. Teak joinery work by old world handcraftsmen gives a practical beauty above and below decks. The cabin soles are teak parquet throughout and the main decks are teak planked, and extensive locker and drawer space is handsomely made in golden Burmese teak. The long and wide flybridge has seating for six adults. Under the seats are teak slatted storage compartments. The flybridge offers a duplicate helmsman station with full instrumentation, venturi windscreen and extra stowage beneath the console. High bulwarks with sturdy teak handrails, handrails on the house sides, anchor platform with anchor roller and bow pulpit, teak swim platform, transom boarding steps, wide side decks, aft port and starboard rail boarding gates are some of the features that add to the Grand Banks 32.
