Price Reduced - $59,500 CAD - $10,000 Reduction Exceptional deal for this Classic!

Just to clarify this is a well Designed/Built vessel and we must help you understand this, because the build quality is top class - The Magellan series were built by American Marine Ltd but designed by Allan Eldredge and Walter McInnis (Eldredge-McInnis), who is world known for ther design skills and craft. Then American Marine LTD. started to build the well known Grand Banks Power Boats. There is so much class here and you have got to see this one if you are sail boat shopping. The model is the Magellan M35 and she is now reduced to sell and located in the Pacific Northwest. She shines from stem to stern and really does show off the beautiful build, the use of exceptional wood and the fantastic condition she is in. The current owners show their pride in owning this very special classic. Over the years they have shown her off and consistently received compliments at every turn. The history of the Magellan 35 began in 1956 as American Marine, Ltd. - Founder Robert J. Newton and his sons, John and Whit, were running a custom boatyard in Hong Kong. They were building solid sailboats and knew what they were doing. They expanded and completed world class motor yachts – for example Grand Banks Yachts began its journey in 1956 with the Magellan series. This sailboat design series included the M35, M39 & M46.
Magellan ll Is hull #11 out of 13 built from the M35 model. This lovely built sailboat begins with solid Philippine Mahogany planking, solid teak decks, hand rubbed Burmese teak used to create the beautiful interior, but the finishing is completed with exceptional joiner work. Moving to the exterior, on display is a vast use of bronze and copper which include all the winches, bronze pulpit & pushpit, stanchions and lifelines, which is rarely found today.
Magellan ll is a solid safe sailing vessel unlike what you find out there with many modern production boats. In 2004-2008 the vessel went through a major restoration project. A custom hard dodger was designed by William (Bill) Gardner to match the boat. This protected cockpit is a fantastic living space to sail from or to just stretch out in and relax while sitting at anchor. All the sails replaced by Carol Hasse, new electrical marine wiring, solar system, updated plumbing, new fuel tanks 2020, custom engine gauges built in Chicago, teak decks all redone, exterior hull painted, custom davits to support a good size inflatable/motor and a new 5 pieces winter cover/summer shade to protect her. The bow name plates are all hand carved and then inlaid with gold leaf-($5,000).

She takes you back in time in a heartbeat. Magellan II is a beautiful classic sailboat that must be seen. They aren't built like this anymore! Please call or email me anytime and I would love to get you on board for a personal look! 250-327-4572
