The award winning, custom built, 111' power catamaran was designed to maximize space and offer guest exceptional accommodations for its size. The actual volume of this yacht equates to that of a 130' Westport.
Main Living Area
Accessed by a large curved stand-alone centerline staircase, is a work of art in itself, going from the main-deck to the upper “skylounge deck” is the main living area. This area, with main salon and dining area is again flooded with natural light, afforded by the large windows that maximize the surrounding seascape.
At the top of the circular stairway is the generous salon with a serving bar and dumb waiter to port and a designer "L" shaped sofa for twelve guests. Windows are all around and via a Priva-Lite screen, separating the pilothouse, even the bow section can be viewed from the salon. Additionally, to port there is a card player table for four and storage cabinetry. The pilothouse with powder room is accessed forward to port.
There are three areas for dining on the Curvelle “Quaranta”. The dining area aft of the main salon, sun-deck and foredeck deck. It has full height doors and windows, with the aft and port sections being able to be fully opened up for indoor/outdoor dining. The dining table here and on the covered sun-deck above, features a large dining table capable of seating 12, but due to clever design and engineering can easily be reduced in size for more intimate dinners and even converted into a bar, freeing up the floor space for other activities, such as a dance floor. The main salon dining area is finished in Macassar ebony and the sun deck table in teak.
On-Deck Guest Cabins
Featuring six, near equal on-deck guest suites with ensuite bathrooms. Each suite has the capability to be converted from 2 x twin beds to a king-size bed or opened up to the adjoining suite to form a larger owner’s suite with sitting room, bedroom and his and hers bathrooms. The flexible layout can accommodate any group in equal style, be that three couples or three families.
Another wonderful feature of having all of the guest suites on-deck is the large 8’8” x 3’ panoramic windows in each cabin, almost making the integrated entertainment system with two TV’s in every cabin a distraction.
A large area comparable to many 45m (140’) monohulls and provides plenty of outdoor entertaining spaces. Shade is provided by a bimini, suspended between a large hard-top surround. Under the bimini is a convertible dining table with seating for up 12. There is storage outboard for the dining area while forward to port is a large full service wet bar, that is also serviced by the dumb-waiter from the galley. Centerline forward is a hot tub which is flanked by a large sun pad. Aft there is space for loungers or additional storage for toys.
While the main deck accommodation is full-beam, the upper level has full walk-around covered decks which help access the large forward deck area, which features port and starboard seating/dining areas for guests and can also be converted into two large sun pads if desired. The working forward deck is accessed via a centerline walkway, which also has easy access to the pilothouse and wing stations.
Another fantastic feature on this innovative yacht is the aft deck, featuring a hydraulic platform used to launch the tender that can be submerged almost 3' (85cm) below the water line, or used at anchor for a great guest entertainment area for swimming, snorkeling or just relaxing in the water with partially submerged loungers. Marquip sea stairs can be hooked up to the main deck and used for easy access to the platform. When slightly submerged and in entertainment mode, the platform can feature air bubbles from underneath to soothe the people lounging on the platform.
The main aft deck has an oversized Mediterranean passerelle that extends from the stern to mooring, as well as port and starboard side doors to which the Marquip sea stairs can be fitted. There is an overhead sliding crane mechanism that can lift up and displace a large jet ski or vehicle onto the port side storage.
The port and starboard hulls house the crew cabins, laundry room, crew mess and galley port. There is access from both hulls to the engine-room spaces aft as well as the aft-deck to the machinery spaces.
Conceived to maximize flexibility of guest use and enjoyment, “Quaranta” makes for an excellent charter or multi-owner platform while still being able to be enjoyed by a single family. The space and amenities truly have to be seen to be appreciated, with many clever ideas and materials being used for ease of maintenance and replacement.
