The Aegean A55 has a layout that's very similar to the A60. On the main deck there is the spacious cockpit with a sliding door leading to the saloon via the galley. The galley is a gourmet's delight with all the modern conveniences of home including a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, cooktop with oven and plenty of storage space for food, drinks and utensils. The main saloon features a lounge/dining area for six on the port side and a further L-shaped lounge to starboard just behind the main helmstation. Accommodations are also very similar to the 60 with a magnificent full-width owners' stateroom with athwartships queen-size bed, bedside units, wardrobes, even a vanity unit with mirror. The signature windows in the hull provide natural light and spectacular views. The ensuite features an electric loo, full-size shower stall and a classy glass basin. Forward is the VIP double cabin with ensuite access to the second head which also is full equipped. To port and starboard are the bunk cabins with the starboard cabin also housing the washer/dryer.Back on deck the external staircase gives access to the flybridge which features a central helmstation, a big L-Shaped lounge to port and another lounge to starboard. The flybridge adds another entertaining area to what is already a very entertaining-friendly boat. Up here the views and fresh air combine to make it perfect for a twilight summer cruise. The Aegean A55 is not only a great performer, but it's also economical to run. Powered by twin Caterpillar C12 715hp diesels, the A55 will cruise happily at 25 knots and with its slick underwater design it proves very economical. Of course, the A55 also features Maritimo's 'garage' where, at the push of a button, the cockpit sole raises to reveal storage for a tender or all the kids' water toys.
