Fly Away was an active charter boat with the Horizon charter fleets in Tortola and stored at Nanny Cay Marina for Hurricane Irma, where she broke free from her slips and was pushed into the mangroves, getting punctures in her hull skin allowing her to sink, at the stern, putting both engines to submerge and water to come about as far as the sliding hatch where you enter the cabin, so the main electronics, 300 Watts solar panel, main cabin, bow cabins , bridge deck were not wet. She has since been hauled at Nanny Cay where some repairs to the hull skin have been completed, the engines have been cleaned and flooded with diesel, and she has been prepared for relaunching. One engine is currently running. The mast and rig remained standing and should be in serviceable order. Sails were stored inside and are in good condition.
