Striking Rob Humphreys designed Oyster 72 Crazy Horse is unique to the Oyster fleet. Commissioned in 2005 by an extremely experienced yachtsman 72/02 has SP Technologies engineered carbon hull and superstructure along with foam cored non structural bulkheads, furniture and sole boards making her fantastically light and incredibly strong. Crazy Horse has all the usual comfort and luxury associated with an Oyster 72. Her current owner acquired her in 2015 and set about an extensive refit which has included a new teak deck, beautifully custom built hand crafted fwd cabin arrangement, extensive hull composite work along with a brand new paint job and many other upgrades from her original spec - The structural hull composite work was approved by an experienced surveyor.
Crazy Horse is extremely well set up on deck for fast, comfortable cruising as well as the occasional race. The large cockpit retains the Oyster 72 DNA of a safe and comfortable environment with easy access to sail handling and plenty of room for entertaining. Stepping down below, you have a spacious and luxurious interior with all the features associated with a thoroughbred bluewater cruiser. Features a large U shaped settee to port, with a table constructed from cored timber including a fixed top opening locker. Seat at starboard side to act as sea berth. A comfortable, forward facing navigation station is located aft and starboard of the saloon. The chart table area is strategically sited and flush mounted in an Alcantara ‘Ssand’ fascia. There is provision for the stowage within the chart table for half folded Admiralty charts and a bookshelf.
