The Morris 454 is a fast yet extremely durable IMS and PHRF racing yacht usable also for long distance cruising. The hull and deck are of highly engineered E-glass and Kevlar reinforcements in a vacuum-bagged, post cured epoxy laminate over CoreCell closed cell foam core. The rig in its racing configuration provides plenty of power with a large mainsail. Cruising oriented compromises include the modest draft of just over eight feet, a spacious raised pilothouse for increased tankage beneath the raised sole, and a wonderful view of the surroundings through large windows. A complete interior is fitted with two fully enclosed heads with showers, a fully appointed galley with refrigeration and Corian countertops, microwave and convection ovens, and plenty of stowage. Other standard features include finishes in varnished butternut, teak and butternut cabin soles, and enough berths to sleep eight comfortably.
