Anhinga is a two-stateroom boat that provides privacy for both her owners and guests. Her aft master suite includes a centerline queen and a master head, to port, with a stall shower and walk-through to the nav station.
The passageway galley is positioned aft of the salon on the starboard side. There is top and front-loading Frigoboat keel cooled refrigerator and freezer (2013).
The spacious salon features a large U-shaped settee to port, which converts to a double berth for extra guests. Interior upholstery is Ultrasuede, in good condition. To starboard is a full length setee and a 27" flat sreen TV and DVD BLU-Ray player (2014).
The guest cabin, forward, has a double Pullman berth and private head with electric toilet and shower.
Cabin soles throughout are teak and holly with bright-varnish finish. Bulkheads and furniture are faced with teak veneers in satin finish with extensive, finely-fitted teak trim. Cabinet doors have teak louvers with varnish finish and white formica with teak trim. Headliners throughout are of padded vinyl with teak trim.
The master stateroom occupies the entire stern section with walk-around queen-sized berth (custom mattress) with storage under. The master cabin can be accessed via the walk-through galley and also through the portside head located behind the navigation station. The ensuite head is to port with stall shower.
The guest cabin, forward, has a double Pullman berth with a custom high-density latex mattress. The guest head with electric toilet and shower is forward.
The navigation station is forward facing and is located to port at the base of the companionway with storage under table and a bench-type seat. Electrical panels are arranged outboard of the seat. Navigation and communication electronics are arranged in and around the chart table.
Molded FRP hull construction with solid laminates and Awlgrip finish. Fiberglass longitudinal and transverse foam core stringers provide additional strength. Additional hull support is derived through the use of internal transverse. The outboard side of the interior furniture also includes secondary hull bonding and additionally serves to support the hull structure.
Stern/transom sugar scoop design fitted with molded boarding steps and enclosed lazarette storage. Six stainless steel framed fixed ports and teak rub rails with stainless steel half oval for protection. Displacement vee configuration. Bolt-on fin keel of lead in "Shields" bulb configuration and balanced spade-type rudder.
The decks are FRP with core reinforcement and have comfortable wide walkways either side of the raised trunk cabin with teak handrails inboard on the cabin trunk. Center cockpit with step access from side decks and seating surround a steering binnacle. All cockpit seating includes teak overlay. The binnacle has a guard and folding teak table. The cockpit sole is covered with a varnished teak grating. Electric controls for winches, navigation lighting and engine are arranged in the cockpit coamings. Sailing instruments are fitted in the companionway turtle.
Sails and Rigging
Sloop rigged, two spreader electric furling Selden spar with alloy boom and semi-rigid boom vang. The mast is stepped through the deck. The rig is supported by 1 x 19 stainless steel wire and attached to stainless steel chain plates. All standing and running rigging was replaced in 2015!
