SEAQUILL is a proven performance cruiser, featuring ageless good looks with her handsome aft-cockpit profile. She is extremely well equipped for long-term, short-handed cruising or racing. As the last 48 built, she is flawlessly crafted by Alden Yachts with attention to detail throughout.
SEAQUILL was commissioned for her current and original owner -- a very knowledgeable yachtsman – who has always lavished her with care and updated her systems throughout.
She is outfitted and ready for extended bluewater cruising or participation in the Newport–Bermuda Race – in both comfort and safety. Centerboard configuration offers minimum draft of 5’-4” with board up and maximum draft of 10’-1” with board down. With her custom rig height of less than 65’, SEAQUILL is also capable of transiting the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW). Inspections of this immaculate, high-pedigree yacht are highly encouraged.

ACCOMMODATIONS and LAYOUT
SEAQUILL’s layout, unlike any of the other Alden 48/50s, sleeps four in two private staterooms, plus two in the main salon. She has two heads, one featuring a separate stall shower and heated wet locker. Her joinerwork is hand-crafted cherry with satin-varnish finish; the cabin sole is solid teak and holly.
Her interior is heated with an Espar diesel heating system and features cherry bulkheads with cherry trim.
Starting forward, the master stateroom features a spacious double V-berth with storage beneath. There is plenty of storage, with a full-length hanging locker, two additional locker/drawer storage units and lockers with spring-assisted top-hinge doors over the berths. Hanging lockers are lined with an aromatic cedar ceiling. A full-length mirror is located on back of door.
The owner's en-suite head is to port, with an electric Tecma fresh water head (new 2013). Resin-sealed cherry countertop with Skanvik S/S sinks, Grohe faucet and Grohe chrome soap dispenser.
The spacious main salon features an L-shaped settee to port with a solid cherry drop-leaf dining table on centerline. The dining table has a drawer on roller guides for built-in bottle storage; the center of the table has flush-top locker for condiment access. To starboard is an additional settee. Both settees have storage lockers underneath. There are (4) lockers in saloon with louvered doors and aromatic cedar ceilings, plus numerous storage lockers outboard, port and starboard.
The nav station is forward-facing, to starboard and aft of the main salon. The lifting hinged table features a compass rose inlay. The electrical panel, main battery switches, communications equipment and navigational electronics are all located here.
All the way aft and to starboard is the guest head. This head features a manual salt water toilet, separate stall shower and wet locker that has both a drain and a heating outlet. Resin-sealed cherry countertop with Scandvik S/S sinks, Grohe faucet and Grohe chrome soap dispenser.
