Through the bulkhead door is a beautiful interior with attractive teal upholstery and laminate countertops. An extraordinary functional galley is located immediately starboard. The three-burner Princess propane stove/oven combo is the highlight and will provide you and your friends and family with a nice warm meal on a chilly day. The galley also has a generously sized stainless steel sink, counter space, a storage cabinet with three large drawers, and a refrigerator tucked under the helm seat. Under the sink is an additional storage cabinet. Just beyond the galley and perched on a raised diamond plated platform is the captain s seat, which is adjustable and has nice arm rests. Storage space under the helm platform and others on the port side are excellent spots to house a tool box or tackle box or two. A fire hydrant is nearby, in case the galley cook forgets about a pot on a hot stove burner. The port side of the cabin is devoted to the roomy vessel head located conveniently right next to the cabin door. It also has a shower feature and it and the galley is served by a 30 gallon water tank, hot water, and a 30 gallon holding tank. A convertible dinette is located beyond the head, seats four comfortably, and sleeps one. The forward seating flips around to face forward while the boat is cruising. A storage cubby under the aft seat is large enough to fit a dog bed (and a dog) or something else that is more practical and sizable. The v-berth sleeps two and has additional storage available, including storage trays. If you plan to overnight in Argo, she has nice window coverings so you can enjoy some privacy and darkness in the summer. Three sliding windows with screens help keep the cabin from getting too stuffy in the summertime and the forced air hydronic furnace keeps the cabin warm in winter.
Come aboard Argo via her wide swim deck and port side aft transom door. She has a cockpit helm with an auto pilot and her roomy back deck handles four fishermen quite easily. A great feature of this vessel is a very large custom fish cleaning table that can be dismantled and stored off the transom when it s not needed. In anticipation of your great fishing luck aboard Argo, the cockpit has a large fish bin awaiting your catch. A nice pot puller, two Scotty electric downriggers, and several fishing pole holders are at the ready for your day of action. Rocket launchers welded to the cabin roof store extra rods. If you re out during the dark hours, two cockpit overhead lights illuminate the action on deck so you hook your bait and not your thumb. Wide side decks make an easy feat of moving between the bow and stern. The bow has high safety railing and can be used as a fishing platform as well. There is a forward facing spotlight and a loudhailer mounted to the cabin roof. Lockable storage tubes incorporated into the side decks make excellent storage options for oars, poles and other long slender items. If you need to access the engine, it is easily done via the flush hatch in the aft deck.
A reliable Volvo KAD 300-A turbo diesel engine with ONLY 600 hours on it provides the power behind Argo. She carries 200 gallons of fuel and uses roughly 8.5 gallons per hour, making her range in the neighborhood of 450 nautical miles so you can go where the fish are. Cruises at 20 knots at 3,400 rpm and has a top speed of 25 knots. The stainless steel duoprop setup bites hard to produce unparalleled thrust and straight and true tracking, even in reverse. Duoprop also has better grip, helping the boat achieve faster acceleration on the plane and reducing a boat s tendency to roll when making sharp turns. Her trim tabs add to Argo s performance in the water. Her new Volvo Penta duoprop outdrive is still under warranty, as is her new 15 horsepower Yamaha kicker engine with only one hour of use. When you d like to sit still awhile, you can easily set the 33 pound Bruce anchor hooked up to 430 feet of chain and line and a Kenimatics hydraulic winch. She also comes with a spare Bruce anchor.
At the dock, hook her into the 30 amp shore power. While underway, power needs are met by the Promatic 30-3 battery charger, alternator and X Power and Xantrex inverters. A full navigation electronics package is included and comprised of a Garmin 2010C GPS and plotter, a Si-Tek radar, two ICOM VHFs, a Lowrance X70A depth sounder, Lowrance transducer and two Raymarine auto pilots. Her high water bilge alarm and three bilge pumps will safely keep the hull from collecting water.
This package comes with a Shore Land R galvanized three-axle trailer with rollers, hydraulic surge disc brakes and a spare tire. She has anti-fouling paint applied to her hull as well. This boat is for the serious fisherman and handles like a dream.
