1995 Warwick 53 Pilothouse Cutter Indulgence is one very special yacht. She can literally be your floating home, incorporating the comforts of a land based home, whilst at the same time giving you the ability to change your surroundings as you wish. Also set up for single handed sailing, with power assistance whenever needed. All sails of the cutter rig can be set, furled, reefed or shaped without the need to leave the shelter of the dodger.
Designed and built for Cook Strait conditions she has raced and cruised across the Strait over 40 times, either single handed or with just family as crew. She is a particularly stiff yacht, with a 316 stainless steel fin keel/fuel tank supporting a 4.5 tonne shaped lead bulb. Custom built for a particularly discerning owner, who has over the past 20 years, with family and friends, cruised her right around NZ and well up into the Pacific for many months at a time. However at the age of 80 he has reluctantly accepted it is time for him to pursue more shore based activities.
Perfectly set up for two couples, and could be the ideal shared holiday home, or could be your permanent home. Designed by Alan Warwick and built by Salthouse Boatbuilders to the very highest specification, this yacht has a double fibreglass hull and decks (teak planked), with end grain balsa between, providing the absolute optimum in strength for weight, together with the very best of sound/heat insulation.
In addition to substantial s/s fuel and water tankage there is a particularly large water maker, which ensures not only an unlimited supply of freshwater for drinking and showers, but sufficient to keep the yacht hosed down and sparkling clean at all times. Luxuries include ducted central heating throughout, Dorade all-weather ventilation, superb stereo music, full domestic sized electric stove and clothes washer/dryer etc...
