With regularly serviced engine, good sails, lots of navigational equipment, heating and many gadgets. Southerly’s are renowned for their ability to float “on a damp lawn” and with the keel raised by the electrically powered hydraulic ram only draws 2’3”. However with her keel down she draws a healthy 5’10” and can give a good account of herself to windward. This boat has been well maintained by the current owner who has had her since 2012. 6 berths in 2 cabins with 6ft of headroom. Two single berths are in the forward cabin, double in the main saloon made by a drop down saloon table and cushion infill and a double quarter berth on the port side. This boat has lots of storage and has good headroom throughout.
The heads is to starboard, aft of the interior helm position with an electric Jabsco quiet flush marine toilet with holding tank, washbasin and shower.
Galley is to port with Plastimo Neptune 2000 gas cooker with oven and grill. 2 stainless steel sinks with pressurised hot and cold water and a good spec fridge. Water is heated by an Immersion heater which was new in 2010.
The saloon has U shaped seating to port and a bench seat opposite to starboard with enough room to seat 7 adults. Fitted with Eberspacher heating throughout and with an upgraded Thermostat and heater control this boat is a joy to be aboard all year round. This Southerly 101 SE was built in 1995 but not launched until 1996. Hull, deck and superstructure are moulded in GRP and are an Ivory colour traditional to Southerly. The deck is also ivory and is non slip. Cast iron ballast plate protecting an electrically operated hydraulic lift keel, skeg rudder with wheel steering at both the internal and external helm positions.
