Seaworthy, fast and elegant yacht from the drawing board of the design-legent Ed Dubois. Classic, elegant hull lines with beautifully stretched transom. The Centurion 45 is an extremely stiff and well built yacht with fiberglass bulkheads laminated to hull and deck, laminated hull-deck joint and AIREX foam sandwich. Very beautiful, interior joinery in Burma-teak with a lot of solid wood in frames and many coldmoulded parts. Plenty of storage in lockers, drawers, a very large cockpit locker and the sail locker below the foredeck. Fully equipped for passage making incl. diesel generator, air conditioning, watermaker, cutterstay etc. 2 cabin layout with a large locker to starboard and sail locker forward.
The Centurion 45 is rigged with a keel stepped, white painted, toprigged SPARCRAFT mast with three sets of spreaders. Hydraulic backstay adjuster NAVTEQ (two cylinders), two spinnaker poles, standing rigging in rod, Harken genoa furler, removable cutter stay with quick tensioner, babystay, running backstays. Sails: fullbatten mainsail approx. 37 m² with lazy jacks on Harken rail with ball-bearing slides, furling genoa approx. 55 m², working jib approx. 40 m², storm jib for cutter stay, spinnaker approx. 160 m² with sock and spinnaker gear.
