This July 4th was celebrated in the slings, and she is one sharp looking vessel that is ready to cruise the Keys or either coast !!
Thanks to Hurricane Matthew, TOOL TIME has a new bimini top here in Mid-November, 2016 !!
TOOL TIME was introduced in 1993 as the MAINSHIP 40 SEDAN BRIDGE and remained in production through 2000. She has a spacious interior and a large flybridge that is accessed via a stairway from the cockpit, which makes her an excellent choice as a day cruiser and/or for entertaining. She was built on a solid fiberglass, modified-V hull, with the engines mounted beneath the cockpit sole, keeping her profile low, and making her handle well in "following seas". The cockpit has a transom door leading in from the swim platform, built-in bench seating, and twin hatches in the sole for excellent engine & generator access. The easily accessed flybridge, via a stairway, has an island helm console with wraparound lounge seating. Her side decks are narrow, but the foredeck is easily reached via a door in the forward flybridge combing for ease in docking or anchoring. The layout makes her one of the easiest boats to move around on, without doing a lot of climbing or hanging on !!!
This is a one owner boat, that has spent its entire life in freshwater, most of it on Lake Michigan. There are complete records of all of the maintenance done on the boat and available to the next owner. Just a straight forward, honest boat, that has been pampered all of her life, and now has all systems working well after doing the 2500 mile run from Ludington, MI to Stuart, FL during late Summer, early Fall in 2015. Most of the gear stays with the boat, along with many spare parts & props, so she is in "ready-to go" condition !!!! This model even has a stairway to the flybridge; no ladders to climb !!!
Just as the boat was placed in storage in 2014, the port engine was replaced with a new engine to the tune of $9,800. Servicing of all systems have been done and updated, as delivery of the boat, on her own bottom, to Florida waters progressed. There aren't many "mysteries" left to solve as she runs well !!!!

TOOL TIME has just completed the 2500 mile passage from Ludington, Michigan to Stuart, Florida on the 26th of October, 2015, that encompassed Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, Lake Erie, the Erie Canal, the Hudson River, and East Coast to Cape May. Weather forced us to run through Delaware and Chesapeake Bays to get to the ICW in Norfolk, and we then ran the ICW to Stuart.
Upon entering the salon from the cockpit, via sliding doors, you step down into a single-level interior, with a full beam salon & galley aft, and the two staterooms forward, along with the shared head for the both staterooms. The master stateroom is forward and features a walkaround double berth, with drawers beneath, and two hanging closets. The head is accessed from this stateroom, as well as from the hallway, and is exceptionally
large for this sized vessel, along with featuring a large stall shower. The guest stateroom is midships to port, opposite the head, and features upper/lower berths, with one hanging closet.
The salon seat seats eight (8) persons and has a large "J" shaped lounge-dinette on her port side aft, with a second "L" shaped lounge (converts to a double berth) to starboard and forward in the salon. Opposite to port is the U-shaped galley. Equipment includes:
The flybridge is easily accessed via a port side stairway from the cockpit. The helm station is amidships and has an island console with full engine controls and instrumentation, along with a sink and cooler. There are lounge seats to both port and starboard of the helm, with an opening door in the forward flybridge combing, allowing excellent access to the foredeck. There is a radar arch aft on the bridge, and the bimini top and full enclosure are new in 2013. Navigation and bridge equipment includes:
TOOL TIME was serviced and launched in Lake Michigan in May of 2014. The owners then traded her on a larger and newer vessel, making TOOL TIME available and for sale. She was hauled the latter part of July 2014 and placed back in storage until sold. She is ready to go at this time after being delivered to Florida and has just been fully serviced, so act quickly while she is fresh and ready for you to enjoy. She has had the port engine replaced with a NEW long block engine, that now has only 235 hrs. on it. The starboard engine has 1510 hrs. on it and is running perfectly.
This freshwater boat is a great family cruiser and a dream to get around on !!! She has a stairway to the flybridge and the flybridge combing opens so you can walk right out on to the front deck for anchoring or doing dock lines !!!
ON AUGUST 15TH MY WIFE AND I LEFT LUDDINGTON, MICHIGAN AND ON OCTOBER 27TH WE ARRIVED IN STUART, FLORIDA. 2500 MILES OF THE "GREAT LOOP" ON THE REVERSE COURSE. HERE IN JULY OF 2016 SHE HAS JUST BEEN FRESHLY BOTTOM PAINTED AND WAXED, AND NOW IS READY FOR A NEW OWNER TO ENJOY HER AS WE HAVE.
