In 2005 a Leisure Furl boom and new main were added, as well as electric primaries. This Sabre 38 is a dream to sail. Sails can be shortened by the press of a button, and the head sail can be reefed just as easily with her electric primaries. Moody Blues was also painted Aristo Blue at the same time, and is in excellent condition. In the galley, the formica counter tops were replaced with Corian, a substantial upgrade in appearance. While the interior teak is a flat finish, the sole is high gloss, and adds a luxurious feel below. Additional equipment has been added over the years (Xantrex Inverter/charger, 2013, and new double lifelines in 2005 for example) by her very knowledgable owners, making Moody Blues the most extraordinary 38 on the market.

Moody Blues will sleep 7. Forward is a full width v-berth with a custom mattress top, drawer storage below, and two lockers. There are opening ports and a big overhead hatch with a clever after market screen and shade. The stateroom also has a vanity with a sink and bench seat.
Aft is the main salon. To port is an L-shaped settee flanking a large bulkhead mounted teak table with a hinged leaf capable of serving people on the starboard settee. There is a bookcase on the bulkhead behind the table. The L-settee converts to a big double berth (see the photos). To starboard is a straight settee, which will also sleep one. There are lee cloths for starboard and port berths. The built-in TV is in the aft starboard corner of the salon outboard of the settee.
Aft of the port settee is the fully equipped nav station with a radar, gps, chart plotter, Autohelm Autopilot, Kenwood stereo, battery selector switch, Xantrex inverter/charger display, and breaker panel.
Aft of the nav station and to starboard of the companionway is the generous head with a shower area and bench seat. A wet locker is outboard of the bench seat. There is a track for a shower curtain. The head is a fresh water Jabsco. There is a sink and storage outboard and under the vanity.
Opposite to port, and aft of the L-settee is the fully equipped and fabulous galley with its Corian counter tops. See more under the Galley heading.
Aft of the galley and to port of the companionway is the ample guest stateroom with a bench seat, hanging locker, opening ports and hatches, and enormous berth.
Engine access in the aft stateroom is easy. A teak cover is effortlessly lifted to expose most of the engine, and there is a bulkhead light to help illuminate the area.
