Caroline is now hauled but very easy to see. Call today for added details and an appointment.
The Freedom 38 accommodates six in two private staterooms and a convertible dinettee. The cabins are spacious and the ergonomics are designed for real comfort. 6'4" headroom is unusual for a boat this good looking. The interior is oiled teak which is complimented by Ash hull ceiling strips and newly installed white foam-back vinyl overhead panels. The sole is traditional teak and holly and is new in (2015). All contribute to making this design elegant and inviting. Eight opening portlights and three overhead hatches add light and air. The fixed windows have been professionally reglazed with tempered safety glass and are very clear: a vast improvement over the cloudy plastic lenses on most other boats. There are numerous drawers, lockers, and four hanging lockers one of which is for wet gear.
The Forward Cabin has a vee berth with insert and this berth is recently upholstered. A large overhead deck hatch and opening ports make this cabin bright and airy. Drawers and lockers provide ample storage capacity. There is a private entry into the head. An optional extra bureau in the vee berth face adds to storage.
The Head is spacious with access from the main salon and fwd cabin. Two opening ports and an overhead hatch ventilate this area well. The Dometic VacuFlush toilet flushes with fresh water and is plumbed to a new bigger capacity 26 gal holding tank. A macerator is installed so the tank may be emptied offshore. The shower drains to a integrated box with float switch. A new counter was installed under the sink.
In the Main Salon there is a straight settee to stbd and L-shaped settee to port which converts to a large berth. Optional locker doors in the port settee make access to this area easier. A bulkhead-mounted table with storage has two leaves which fold out to sit six for dinner or fold up and out of the way when not in use. Opening ports, fixed windows, and a large overhead hatch makes this area bright and the ergonomics of the settees makes evening reading very comfortable. New Upholstery is bright and fresh.
The Galley is open to the main salon and convenient to the companionway and cockpit. The U-shape provides lots of storage and counter space for meal preparation. The counter surface is new. A custom trap door accesses a waste basket outside the galley. Included is a three burner Tasco propane stove with oven and stove guard. Adler Barbour refrigeration has a freezer compartment in 6 cu ft ice box. A double basin, stainless steel sink has a Indiana Brass faucet and a foot pump provides fresh water.
The Navigation station is located across from the galley. There is a large chart table and swing-out seat. Well organized 110V AC and 12V DC panel and electronics installation make this area an excellent work station. Custom canvas pocket storage adds to the organization.
The Aft Cabin has a fore and aft double berth and opening ports provide cross ventilation. Optional locker doors aft add to the storage space in this cabin. The curved hull and reading light placement makes for a great spot to sit and read. New berth upholstery.
