The PowerBoat Guide notes, "Sea Rangers were very popular throughout the 1980s thanks to their rugged construction and affordable prices, and the 46 motoryacht's attractive profile made her an especially popular boat" (and the design has proven a perennial best-seller on the used market in the ensuing years)...
This particular two stateroom, galley-down example has a fully enclosed aft deck and flybridge, low time (less than 1,000 hours) on bulletproof Ford Lehman diesels (and they're the upgraded 275 hp models, a significant improvement over the 135 hp standards), has had the original teak decks removed and renewed (and it was done RIGHT!) and boasts beautiful teak joinery and tasteful appointments below.
With only two owners since new and professionally maintained, Big Easy shows VERY nicely inside and out and, combined with a prime F-dock Sausalito Yacht Harbor slip (right off the boardwalk and on the big turning basin, this is one of the best slips in the entire marina) that's potentially transferable, this is a turn key package.
Note that there's a long waiting list to get ANY berth in the marina here, let alone a bigger one like this, so the transferable slip is a material benefit if you're able to take advantage.
Also note that price has been SIGNIFICANTLY reduced, owner motivated and offers encouraged.
Forward stateroom with over/under berths and private head, next aft is galley to port with dinette across starboard. Up three steps aft to salon with lower helm, wet bar and reverse cycle heat/air. From salon either down aft to master stateroom with walk around queen and private head with stall shower or up aft to enclosed deck which accesses enclosed flybridge.
Note interior shows almost as new, nice teak & holly sole, 6'4 headroom throughout most of the boat.
Galley down with stainless steel double sinks with hot/cold pressure water (20 gallon hot water heater), Princess three burner electric stove with oven, Sharp microwave oven, Norcold upright AC/DC refrigerator/freezer. VacuFlush toilets in both heads.
110V AC / 12V DC. Thirty amp shorepower service with new AC panel, Onan 8kW genset in sound shield, four batteries in two banks with parallel switch plus dedicated windlass and genset batteries, Newmar battery charger, 55 amp engine alternator.
Garmin GPS chartplotter interfaced with autopilot, Furuno FMD-611 radar, depth sounder, Raymarine VHF radios at both helms, ditto Ritchie magnetic compasses.
Heavily laid up modified V FRP hull with cored decks (note the teak has been removed and decks redone in glass then Awlgripped--this is an EXPENSIVE project that becomes necessary as teak decks age, they don't last forever!), bottom stripped and barrier coated in 2013 (this was also an expensive proposition).
45 lb. CQR anchor on anchor platform with electric windlass and ample chain/line rode. Stainless steel stanchions with varnished teak cap and handrails.
Twin Ford Lehman fresh water cooled turbo diesels with Racor filters, Twin Disc trannies, 2" stainless steel shafts thru dripples stuffing boxes and dual bronze struts to four-bladed bronze props. Hynautic hydraulic steering, bronze rudders. Bennett dual mram stainless steel trim tabs.
