RARE, 1984 MODEL W/ CENTER LINE QUEEN BERTH AFT
MANY RECENT UPGRADES - BAHAMAS/CARIBBEAN READY
RADIANCE epitomizes just what successful cruising should be- comfortable, relaxing, safe, and fun! This yacht has all those attributes and more. She has been upgraded with a new bow thruster system, new HD Radar and chart plotter. Her owners cruising plans have been cut short due to health issues.
A partial list of options includes the following:
24 V Dual Prop Bow Thruster (New 2015) New 135 Jib Sail (New 2016) Furling Mainsail and 150% Furling Genoa, Like new spinnaker sail, Air Conditioning, Generator, Windlass, Davits w/ Dinghy, Newer Electronics, New Raymarine HD Radar (2015), AIS, SSB, EPIRB, Liferaft, Autopilot, Bimini w/ Full Enclosure, and more!
Perfectly suited for extended cruising, “RADIANCE ” was one of the last Gulfstar 44s built, and represents the craftsmanship that Gulfstar produced in the mid 1980s. Long favored over earlier models, this 1984 model comes with the centerline queen berth in the owners aft stateroom, as well as the distinctive teak interior woodwork, cane cabinet doors, and the other features that set the 1984 boats apart. With her powerful but easily controlled (from the safety of the cockpit) sail plan, she is a pure joy to sail, and her achingly beautiful lines and dazzling brightwork never fail to draw attention at every port of call.
Check out the photos and specs….this yacht shows very well and is in excellent condition ready to take you anywhere in both comfort and style. Realistically priced for her condition and ready for a new set of memories... just make sure you call before the memories belong to someone else.

Down below is really where the Gulfstar 44 really shines. The dark teak joinery work is stunning and attests to the high quality of Gulfstar’s 1984 workmanship. Radiance is the popular Mark II model that features a walk around aft master queen berth and a forward guest berth- each with en-suite heads. Aft master bath has separate shower stall with seat. (SEE INTERIOR LAYOUT DRAWING)
The galley is tight and seaworthy without seeming small. Another great feature is the step down entrance. The 44 has nice headroom anyway, but with the step down, even the tallest can stand up straight.
Smooth running and easy starting PERKINS 4-154 67 HP diesel has 4250 hrs and never used a drop of oil! She was just serviced with fresh filters, Rotella T, and LUCAS additive. Oil religiously changed once per year, usually with less than 50 hrs of use. She pushes the boat easily at 6.5 kts while burning a little under 1 gal/hr. With engine & gen set running the fuel burn is right at 1 gal/hr.
