Vessel Walkthrough
The cockpit is large and comfortable and facilitates easy sailing, 48” wheel steering system. Teak deck needs work. Aft master stateroom located to port with full size double bed, storage, hanging locker, drawers, and bookshelves. Head is adjacent to master stateroom with toilet, SS sink, medicine cabinet, vanity, and stall shower, access from both the main companionway and master stateroom. Starboard, opposite the master stateroom is a private navigation area with chart table, overhead lighting, chart storage, and electronics. Forward is a full size galley and a second stateroom. Four large aluminum hatches and several ports provide the Golden Wave 42 cabin with plenty of natural light and keeps it well ventilated.

Outer Hull is constructed of hand laid molded fiberglass reinforced plastic. Deck is sandwich constructed fiberglass reinforced plastic with marine grade plywood core; teak plank overlay. Cabin is constructed fiberglass-reinforced plastic with marine ply core. Kenyon aluminum tapered spars, and 785 sf. of sail. Navtec rod rigging, Navtec hydraulics. Engine is a 1982 Perkins Diesel 4-108, 50 hp., with approx. 1200 hrs, 4-cyinders, fresh water-cooled. Gearbox is a Borg Warner Velvet Drive Walter V-Drive. Dive compressor.
Remarks
Overall this Golden Wave 42 needs some TLC maintenance but it is one of the finest, fastest production hulls ever produced and comparable in design, construction, and workmanship to some of the finest yachts in its class. The feel of the Golden Wave 42 must be experienced, light touch and responsive. Moves smartly in the lightest of breezes and is strong enough to handle the roughest of conditions.
