Much of the lasting popularity is due to her good looks and timeless hull form combined with a large open cockpit. The lobster style semi-displacement design allows a smooth ride from slow harbor speeds to 20 plus knots. The fine bow with its sharp entry allows the boat to cut through chop effortlessly. The round chine and narrow stern makes her controllable in a following sea. The Dyer 29 is know for its sea kindly behavior and is considered a true blue water boat. A classic little yacht well suited for family day boating or cruising, as well as offshore fishing.
