The 55' Alaskan has a traditional pilot house, bridge deck, walk-around side decks and spacious engine room. The large wheelhouse is typical of the thoughtful planning in her design. Completed with watch berth, chart table, full instrumentation, a 30 inch wheel and functional port and starboard doors to the protected bridge deck. The pilot house is a great social area with wet bar and a comfortable "U" shaped settee with teak table. Pilot house sole refinished.
A single-level living area over 23 feet in length is formed by the main salon, the galley and the aft cockpit -- a richly paneled area for living, dining and entertaining. Solid teak double doors open the salon to the covered cockpit. Furnishings include a large "L" shaped settee with teak table (that may be positioned for dining or as a coffee table), portable chairs, a writing desk and a large television-stereo cabinet.
The bright galley has a double stainless steel sink, a new four-burner propane range with oven, and a new refrigerator-freezer, new microwave and garbage disposal. Expansive lockers are built in, including cabinets that open to both the galley and the main saloon. The joinery work was done in golden Burmese teak.
The master stateroom is a luxurious, private world furnished with a full-size bed, expansive wardrobe lockers, a vanity and bureau all in teak. There is also a private master head and shower. Additionally, there are two guest staterooms, each having two berths and their own private head and a shared shower. Like the owner's suite, the guest's staterooms are beautifully appointed with teak paneling and built-in teak lockers and bureaus. To starboard, a shower serves both of these cabins.
All cabin soles are inlaid teak parquet.
