Designed by Kim Holman and built by Purbrook Ltd in 1963. She was designed for Eric Curry, eldest of the Curry brothers, who wanted the prettiest and strongest yacht of her size. The build was carried out to Lloyds 100A1 specifications and was overseen the entire way through by Holman who inspected every bit of timber that went into the boat and reportedly rejected a lot of it as not of a high enough quality.
The present owners bought her in 1983 and are only the third custodians. In their time they have cruised extensively around northern Europe and the Mediterranean as far as Greece and Turkey where she was based for several years. She is a very capable boat and typical of a Holman design is relatively spacious for her length and has impeccable manners at sea.
She has just finished a winter refit in which the paint and varnish was all renewed, machinery and electrics serviced and overhauled and many small jobs attended to.
A very strong and incredibly well built boat, age has finally forced the owners to think about a different kind of boating and she will be passed on to new guardians who can carry on the good work. Recent underwater survey available.
