Wooden Ships Comments
Designed by Gustav Pym and built by the Kungsors boat yard in 1956. She took part in the 1957 Fastnet Race which is one the worst races to date in terms of weather, she was one of only 29 boats out of the 41 starters to finish the race.

Construction
Hull
Planked in mahogany all copper rivet fastened to steam bent timbers. Topsides finished in varnish.
External lead ballast keel. Floors of plywood construction with reinforcing straps in way of the engine and mast.
Decks and cockpit
Yacht laid teak deck over a marine plywood sub deck. Varnished coverboards and toe rail with a scrubbed teak capping rail.
Stainless stanchions and guard wires fastened through the coverboards.
Superstructure
Coachroof with varnished mahogany coamings and a steep radius to the coachroof deck giving plenty of headroom below with a slightly raised dog house aft.
Varnished skylight on the coachroof deck with dorade vents on boxes.
Rig
Bermudan yawl rig on keel stepped alloy masts with alloy slab reefing booms.
The whole rig was renewed in 2005 with new spars and rigging by Benns of Stockholm.

Sails all in good useable condition.

Nanni diesel 13hp 2 cylinder marine diesel, installed new in 2003.
Accommodation
Berths
5 berths with a quarter berth, twin forepeak berths and 2 settee berths.
Saloon
Steps down into the saloon over the engine box with the galley to port and chart desk to starboard with storage drawers below. Quarter berth to port.
Settee berths port and starboard with an offset saloon table on bronze legs. The sides of the hull are exposed and open with a varnished finish which maximises the use of the beam.
Passageway to port going forward.
Galley
Galley is to port in the companionway.
Heads
Heads compartment to starboard forward of the saloon with a sea toilet and hand basin.
